The Newcastle Community Heritage Project began in 2005 and is run by Newcastle City Council in partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund, Age Concern Newcastle, the University of Sunderland, the Newcastle Elders Council and up to twenty community based charities and voluntary groups.
